This is a great tower for the price. No rattle or shake at all while driving through choppy water. Looks great with a couple of speakers and some wakeboard racks!!

This is a strong tubular design with the 2.5 diameter. I had this tower for several years... I sold it with the boat. The more "have to haves" examples....pro 80s, 2 sets of combination racks, camera, and anything else one may hang on it....will put alot of stress on the bolt threads and the tend to loosen up over time, I recommend tightening everything that vibrates and maybe lock-tite on some every so often but after a few years the no longer held up and needed replaced.

For the price this is a very strong tower. The 2 1/2 tube design makes adding accessories some what limited but not impossible. A little lock-tight on the threads once you have it adjusted might be a good idea if you plan to put a lot of weight on the tower...ie speakers, racks, etc.

I have had this tower on 2 separate boats. I installed it on a 1985 Supra Sunsport (took about 2 hours - measure twice cut once:P) (Sold the boat on Onlyinboards.com in 4 weeks btw)You do have to make sure everything is real tight every coulpe weeks and it is bullet proof.

The second boat had it already installed on it (1996 Tige WT2200). The previous owner did not do a real good job on the install and I can definitely tell on the performance side as it makes lots of noise and is starting to affect the gel coat where it attaches. I have done quite a bit to improve it, but it still is not as solid as on the last boat.

Bottom line, fantastic tower if installed correctly. Make sure you can do it right or have someone else install it for you. For the price it can't be beat.
