1989 Ski Supreme - Original Owner

Boat Description

Original owner purchased 1990. Clean titles to boat and trailer. Our family has been using the Supreme for water sports through 2020 until we received a late fall deal on a used wake surfing boat.

560 actual hours. Our Supreme was stored in parent's attached garage for 15 years after we moved to NC, which has kept the hours low for its age. We finally brought it to NC in 2018. Before that my friends and I actively used the Supreme for slalom course skiing, barefooting, and wakeboarding. This was an AWSA certified tournament series boat.

Engine: Chrysler Marine M360 (5.9 liters) at 265 horse power, and it runs great. With the boat weight only 2350 lbs, this direct drive inboard is enough power for any water sport. Drive shaft is straight/true, no vibration. I'm good with engines and have done 100% of the winterizations, oil changes, transmission fluid changes, tune ups, everything myself. I will provide instructions or a quick video on these simple procedures. E.g. an oil change takes 15 minutes, winterization 30 minutes. Will winterize this year if the buyer wants it.

Hull: All fiberglass stringers, no wood in the hull. The hull bottom is clean, never been grounded. Hull gelcoat has a few scratches and dings from docking over the years. Still, waxed frequently, no oxidation and it shines up nicely. Original teak wood accents throughout and solid teak swim deck, just reconditioned.

Accessories & upgrades:

2018: New carpet. Engine starting system overhaul, rebuilt starter, rebuilt alternator, re-wired all high-voltage wiring and battery charging system. New battery. It all starts/runs/charges great. Trailer: New winch & strap and spare tire carrier, new bearings & waterproof bearing buddies.

2019: Added wakeboarding tower, board rack, and Sunbrella Bimini shade top. Bimini can carry a large towable tube. New Sunbrella storage cover. New bilge pump, water pump impeller, and belts.

2020: Interior completely redone. All seats, cushions, engine cover, side panels. Restored to original design, including the two Supreme stitched logos.

Hot water transom shower to extend water sports season from early spring to late fall. Fill up the wetsuit with nice hot water before going in the lake.

Installed battery Perko switch to keep the battery isolated/fresh when not in use. The Perko switch would enable a 2nd battery for a stereo amp or other accessories. Allows safe/isolated charging without disconnecting cables.

Original analog gauge set. One of the two speedos no longer functions and the voltmeter reads low, so I added GPS speed and battery voltage via the new Garmin 5" computer display.

Garmin Striker sonar fish finder, depth finder, with through hull sonar transducer. Shows images of fish and underwater structure where fish hide. Also shows GPS speed, battery voltage, time of day. Provides shallow water alarms. Can sonar map a favorite lake section for future reference.

I loved my Supreme before I had a family, and the family has loved it since then, and we have outgrown it. It's a great boat for a new owner. Next summer will ask more, but make me an offer before winter and we can talk about a lower price.
